Community Wealth Building, Inclusive Growth & City Regional Deals

A Practice Note

What is the purpose of this Practice Note?

Suddenly everyone is talking about Community Wealth Building (CWB).

Although you may only have heard of Community Wealth Building recently, many of the principles and concepts that make up CWB are not entirely new – they might already be in place, but perhaps not drawn together in one approach.

However, inevitably as with any “new” approach,  there is a degree of professional language that has built up around CWB. This short practice note, which you can download below,  aims to make it more accessible.

The note sets out what CWB is and how its principles can be used to add value to the £5 billion investment in the City Region & Regional Growth Deals programme, with questions that can help you to consider how to implement CWB in practice and examples of where this is being done already.
